-
1 oz fresh lime juice
-
¾ oz orange liqueur (Cointreau or Triple Sec)
-
1 oz pineapple juice (fresh if you can!)
-
2-3 slices fresh jalapeño (remove seeds for less heat)
-
½ oz agave syrup (optional, but balances the spice)
- 4-5 dashes Warn Reserve Chili Lime Bitters
-
Ice
-
Tajín or chili-lime salt (for rimming)
-
Pineapple wedge or jalapeño slice (for garnish)
Method:
-
Rim the glass:
Rub a lime wedge around the rim of your glass, then dip it into Tajín or chili-lime salt. Set aside. -
Muddle:
In a shaker, muddle the jalapeño slices with the lime juice and agave syrup to release the heat. -
Shake:
Add tequila, pineapple juice, chili lime bitters, and orange liqueur.
Fill the shaker with ice and shake it up for 15-20 seconds until chilled. -
Serve:
Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice. -
Garnish:
Add a pineapple wedge, a lime wheel, or a jalapeño slice for extra flair.
Optional Tips:
-
Adjust the heat by using more or less Chili Lime Bitters.
-
Try grilling the pineapple for a smoky twist.
-
Swap tequila for mezcal if you want a smoky-spicy combo.
